December 24, 2021
Searching for some travel inspiration for 2022? Go ahead and add Boston to your list. As one of America’s oldest and most memorable cities, Boston is a historic destination with plenty of gems to uncover (not to mention the latest location of the one and only Jenni Kayne). From the restaurants awaiting you in the South End to the foliage on display in Boston Common, no day is ever the same. Read on for our Boston City Guide, which is complete with our favorite restaurants, shopping destinations, and sights that are required to be seen.

The Boston City Guide
Hotels
The Fairmont—We love The Fairmont for its timeless look and feel. Stay here for a special getaway. We promise you won’t regret it.
The Charles—Located in Cambridge, The Charles is a short walk from Harvard Yard, which is obviously its own historic destination.
The Newbury Boston—Just a stone’s throw away from Jenni Kayne, The Newbury Boston is set within the action of the city while still delivering an experience that feels quaint and contained.
The Whitney Hotel—Whether you’re visiting with friends or family, The Whitney Hotel is the perfect place to stay for a visit to Boston for one simple reason: it has something for everyone.

Shopping
Newbury Street—A hub of all things shopping and dining, strolling down Newbury Street is one of our favorite activities. Make sure you pay a visit to the Jenni Kayne while you’re there!
SoWa Vintage Market—Who can resist a vintage market with plenty of treasures for your wardrobe and home? Certainly not us. A visit to SoWa Vintage Market is a must on any trip to Boston.
Restaurants
Row 34—When in Boston, one must eat plenty of fresh seafood, and Row 34 does not disappoint. Tip: go here before or after a visit to The Institute of Contemporary Art.
Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar—This gem of a restaurant in South Boston has the perfect menu item for anyone in your party. From celebratory cocktails to delicious dishes, a dinner at Loco is a can’t-miss.
Barcelona—A night at Barcelona is a night well spent. With a robust wine list and a location in the South End that’s lively and lovely, we can’t get enough of this dining destination.
Contessa—Located in the Back Bay (and featuring a rooftop that’s the definition of dreamy) Contessa is a restaurant that everyone needs to visit when in Boston.
Sarma—For flavorful and memorable Mediterranean food, head to Sarma. No matter which dish you choose to order, just make sure you bring plenty of friends for a meal everyone will enjoy.

Bars & Cafés
Frenchie Wine Bar—A touch of Paris exists in the South End, and it’s called Frenchie Wine Bar. With dishes reminiscent of a wine bar in Paris, we make sure to head to Frenchie whenever we’re in Boston.
The Street Bar—Right across from Boston’s Public Garden, we head to The Street Bar for any and every occasion (even if that occasion is simply trying to warm up from the cold).
Tatte Bakery & Café—With perfectly sweet pastries and the best coffee you’ll find in town, this classic bakery and café is ideal for a morning meeting or a quick pick-me-up on your way to explore Boston’s sights and scenes.
Nathalie Wine Bar—A wine bar that’s focused on natural, female-made wines? Say no more.

Activities
Bow Market—With restaurants and shops featuring some of Boston’s finest, Bow Market is a surefire way to spend a Saturday. Tip: be sure to head here with an empty stomach.
Public Garden and Boston Common—The Public Garden and Boston Common are situated right next to each other, which makes them the ideal activity for casual strolls, morning runs, or even summer-set picnics with friends.
Harvard Art Museums—Comprised of three incredible museums, Fogg Museum, Busch-Reisinger Museum, and Arthur M. Sackler Museum, the Harvard Art Museum is a dream destination for any art lover. While you can fit in all three in one day, don’t be afraid to spread out your visits to really enjoy every moment inside.
The Institute of Contemporary Art—For those who love contemporary art, a visit to ICA is a must. With exhibitions unlike any other (plus a view that’s equally as inspired), ICA is a favorite for the whole family.
Boston Public Library—If the picture of Boston Public Library’s courtyard doesn’t convince you to pay it a visit, then perhaps its almost endless array of books will draw you in.
