Sourcebook: Animal Prints

As you know from last year’s Leopard post, I have a bit of an obsession with animal prints, and especially for fall, can’t get enough. Here are some of my favorite moments for the season:

Clothing

For fall, I brought back and recolored one of my favorite prints: leopard. My favorites from the collection are the collared shirt, carwash skirt, crewneck T, and I am in love with the long cap sleeve gown. For other moments, I love this leopard silk cashmere sweater and dress, both from A.P.C. And from Dolce, who always does leopard right, this dress and pant – and they are on sale! And even though summer is over, I love Dolce’s leopard one piece for anytime of year.

Accessories

For accessories, I made my D’Orsays in cheetah print pony and can’t take them off. Other great flat options are Manolo’s leopard loafer, Barneys’ leopard flat and chukka, and Miu Miu’s leopard ankle boots. For heels, I love my leopard Celines that I bought last season, my Jenni Kayne leopard mule or Manolo’s leopard heel. I also really like Pierre Hardy’s two-toned leopard heel if you are feeling a little more adventurous.

Other great options are Lanvin’s leopard gloves, Saint Laurent’s babycat scarf, or Clare Vivier’s leopard clutch, which is always a no-brainer. For eyewear, I like these Illesteva leopard print sunglasses from Creatures of Comfort.

And for jewelry, my picks are all super extravagant, but too amazing not to mention. You can’t possibly go wrong with Cartier’s Panther Collection, and I especially love this ring and this ring, both in yellow gold. David Webb’s animal pieces are no less incredible – I love this gold leopard ring, this gold and platinum leopard ring, and this snake ring, as well as this Toro bangle, which is just beyond.

Kids

For the little ones, this one piece and these leggings, both from American Apparel, are great.

In terms of accessories, I love JCrew’s MacAlister boots and can’t wait until Ripley is big enough to wear them. In the meantime, she lives in her Rachel Riley leopard flats, which are adorable. And for the littlest ones, these leopard moccasins from Sweet William are just too cute. XXJKE
