Kauai is such a special, beautiful place and, for as small and private as it is, there are so many creative people and companies that are based on the island, or at least got their start there. Leah TK of Leahlani Skincare is one such local. Her line of organic face masks, anti-aging serums, and tropical cleansers is a staple in my bathroom–and beloved by many women across the globe. Not only are the ingredients pure and effective, but the packaging is beautiful too.

Leah worked as a holistic esthetician for a decade before launching her namesake line in 2006. She was the Spa Director at the Hilton Spa on Kauai and also had her own private practice as well. Her inspiration was to transform her client’s beauty “routines” into beauty “rituals” by giving them safe products that heal the skin and treat the senses. Leah personally blends and bottles each formula. She uses organic and cold-pressed oils, wild-crafted botanicals, mineral rich clays and other pure, powerful ingredients.

One of my favorite products in the line is the signature Mermaid Mask; a ‘superfood’ mask made with chlorella and organic spirulina from Hawaii. It purifies and softens your skin like a dream—and the color makes it fun to put on too. I also love the Coco Infusion hair, skin, and body oil. It’s made with unrefined coconut oil, organic cold pressed macadamia oil, and other tropical ingredients and smells heavenly. The Citrus and Citrine Regenerating Toner, meanwhile, gives your skin that post-ocean tingle, without drying it out. It’s made with Hawaiian alaea salt and sea silt, among other exotic components.
