Jenni’s Living Room Makeover with One Kings Lane

February 1, 2022

home-makeover-1

This summer my family and I moved into a ranch-style house in Los Angeles while we work on building our new home. Since we’ll probably be in the space for a couple of years, I really wanted it to feel comfortable and personal. I started the decorating process with the living room, because it’s a space that we all share, enlisting One Kings Lane’s design studio to help me mix pieces from our old house with new and vintage items from their amazing inventory.

And I’m so glad I did. The Studio understood my vision for the room and brought in the most beautiful pieces to complement the artwork, pottery, and leather chairs from our previous home. I wanted the space to be chic but also really comfortable, with lots of natural textures and colors. They brought a Kilim rug, antique rattan ottomans, a beautiful white sofa by Robin Bruce, and more. I love that everything in the room is centered around the big fireplace, and that there are plenty of places to sit, and surfaces to use for drinks and snacks. After the installation, we had friends over for dinner and all hung out in the living room for hours. The space was just what I wanted it to be—inviting, functional, and also stylish.

Check out One Kings Lane for more details on the makeover, and to shop the items in the living room, along with some of my other interior design picks. There’s so much to love on the site, I couldn’t stop at just this room. XXJKE
